Call to Action!

"I want to be in Kentucky when the end of the world comes, because it's always twenty years behind." - Mark Twain

Let me start my little grassroots endeavor here with some humor. God knows if you don't have a sense of humor about much of everything, you won't get too far. Laughter, music, and sex are some things they cannot take away from you.

And by they I mean the man, the big cheese, etc.

I have taken into consideration such endeavors may lead such officials with a bad taste and their mouth. No, they didn't just eat triple-anchovy pizza with a whole garlic clove thrown in.

Maybe they're afraid I'm...dare I say, a terrorist.

Well, if that's the case shouldn't these folks be considered terrorists? Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., John Lennon, Robert F. Kennedy, and pretty much all our founding fathers?

Then I thought, perhaps the "Founding Fathers" wouldn't know what to do in this situation. Washington was a military man, not some corporate lawyer. Even Lincoln in all his wisdom probably couldn't wrap his brain around the $700 billion and GM bailouts.

Let's get our minds off the past, despite the fact we should look at history for the answers. But the Founding Fathers are not going to answer all our questions. Even they had national debt and banking problems, military dilemmas, and if you were able to contact them in some sort of seance would more than likely ask for an iPhone for their birthday gift.

You're saying "Get to a point, please" and I confess, I love to ramble.

Basically, if this is the end of the world what an end to make, right? Even the optimist in me has to laugh at that somewhat. This is not the end of the world. The Great Depression was much worse. I don't know how my grandparents got through it all; perhaps they were just tougher people.

They didn't have wireless technology, HD televisions, video games, and half the amenities we now take for granted. And we all take things for granted. We also live in our own little worlds, in fear of what lies on the other side of the door, after 9/11 especially.

Perhaps it's time for something different: making things happen, speaking face to face with others instead of sending emails, uniting under a common cause, and resolving to transcend what our fearless leaders expect of us.

Peace and good fortune to all.

Winchester, this is what is bred in modern society. Economic chaos begets societal chaos. Our government has padded the pockets of Wall Street and the 10% wealthy who have lawyers/politicians with which to manipulate our freedoms, our true American birthright.

Liberty.

We have this remarkable tool known as the Internet. In truth, the internet was created as ARPANET by the government think-tank RAND Corporation (see link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_RAND ).

Now look where it's at. In the hands of the people. We, the people. Or otherwise exactly where they DON'T want it. Just Google "net neutrality". You'll find plenty of reading material.

All theories aside, the truth has been sequestered. Most laws and statutes are written in a complex legal jargon most people cannot read. Funny, seeing as our two parties in Washington fail to follow the Constitution.

And they seriously expect us to do the same?

Our movement is one of utmost importance. They call it rebellion. We call it revolution.

The First Steps are Always Difficult

As a citizen of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, perhaps I'm more perplexed from my unique perspective. I live in a fairly small town just outside of a bigger college town. Ideals aside, I'm an American. I work every day, pay my taxes, and try to keep everything together. Sure, I have debt just like most Americans.

But where's my bailout?

In light of current events, I have read through the Constitution, which being interpreted differently at all levels of government is really all we have. They view the Constitution as an idea; legally, it's our right to ensure our government is up to snuff.

Here are the tenants of ARiSE (American Revolutionaries for Independence of Societies Everywhere):

1) Voice our right to elect/impeach political officials
2) Holistically self-educate legal writs, global media, and the Constitution of the United States
3) Communicate across party lines and political affiliations via internet
4) Peacefully assemble to voice these tenants

Welcome and feel free to contact The Brotherhood of ARiSE @ arise2020@gmail.com

Revolution begins now, peacefully.
